CHBC Uses 5-Run Sixth Inning To Beat Mulberry Grove 8-7 in EI Tournament Opener

In a game that saw several lead changes, CHBC scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take the lead for good on the way to an 8-7 win over Mulberry Grove on the opening night of the Egyptian-Illini Conference Baseball Tournament. Waylon Robertson got the win for CHBC pitching a scoreless 1 1/3 after coming in with two outs in the top of the 6th inning. Jackson Isringhausen took the loss for Mulberry Grove after giving up all five of the CHBC runs in the bottom of the 6th inning.

Mulberry Grove is now 0-9 on the season.

Tonight in the EI Tournament: Mulberry Grove will be at #1 seed Brownstown-St. Elmo, #2 seed CHBC will host Ramsey. Both games are scheduled for 4:30pm starts.
