>>MLB Season On, Players Agree To Report By July 1st

(New York, NY)  —  The MLB season is set to begin next month.  The Players’ Association tweeted it has agreed to health and safety protocols and players will report to training camps by July 1st.  A 60-game regular season is slated to begin July 23rd or 24th.  Players will be paid on a fully prorated basis.

>>Brady Takes Part In Bucs’ Group Workout

(Tampa, FL)  —  Tom Brady and some of his Bucs teammates are going against NFL guidelines.  The Tampa Times reports Brady was seen practicing with Rob Gronkowski and a handful of others yesterday morning at a local school.  The NFLPA medical director says players should not be practicing together.

>>Steelers’ Roethlisberger Opens Up About Off-Field Addictions

(Pittsburgh, PA)  —  Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is opening up about his off-field addiction issues.  During the virtual ManUp Pittsburgh conference for Christian men, Big Ben said he’s struggled with alcohol and pornography.  He notes we’re all human and we all sin, but we don’t have to be perfect.

>>Nuggets’ Jokic Delayed In Serbia After Positive Test

(Denver, CO)  —  The Nuggets will be waiting a while longer for Nikola Jokic [[ YO-kitch ]] to return from Serbia.  ESPN reports he’s being temporarily delayed after testing positive for the coronavirus last week.  Jokic has been asymptomatic, but must test negative twice within 24 hours before he’s able to travel.

>>No Federal Charges For Noose At Talladega

(Lincoln, AL)  —  There will be no federal charges for the noose  found in the garage stall of African-American driver Bubba Wallace at Talladega over the weekend.  The FBI investigated, but determined the noose had been there since last fall.  Wallace has been a vocal advocate for social justice and equality.
