(Undated) — Former Blue Chris Thorburn is retiring. The 37-year-old announced his retirement from the NHL yesterday after playing in 801 regular-season games over a 14-year career. 51 of those games came as a member of the Blues, including 50 during the 2017-18 season and one during the Stanley Cup championship year of 2018-19. Thorburn said finishing his hockey career with St. Louis and finally getting an opportunity to lift the Stanley Cup was the best way to go out.
