(Chicago, IL) — Chicago is a finalist to be one of the two hub cities to host the NHL playoffs. The Athletic reports Chicago, Edmonton, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Toronto and Vancouver are under consideration. The league is expected to pick two of those cities as official hosts in the coming weeks, one for each conference’s 12-team postseason field. Illinois officials have pushed in recent weeks for Chicago to be chosen. However, the Windy City has relatively low odds of being selected. Las Vegas and one of the three Canadian cities are favorites.
