(Undated) — Major League Baseball is planning on moving forward with a 60-game season. Reports say the league’s owners voted to implement a 60-game season yesterday after the MLB Players Association rejected their latest offer. After negotiations failed, MLB opted to execute a clause in a March 26th agreement to impose a schedule of its desired length. The league has asked the Players Association to respond by this afternoon as to whether players will be able to report to camp by July 1st and if they will sign off on the operating manual containing the health and safety protocols.
