>>Noose Found In Wallace’s Garage As Rain Postpones NASCAR Event

(Talladega, AL) – A noose was found in the garage stall of Bubba Wallace, the only black driver in the NASCAR Cup Series, before rain postponed the Talladega Superspeedway race. Wallace speaking out led NASCAR to ban Confederate flags at their races. The sanctioning body confirmed the noose, calling it a “heinous act.” Meanwhile, vehicles waving and flying Confederate flags were on display outside the track, while a plane flew over the track with a Confederate flag saying, “defund NASCAR.”  The GEICO 500 will run today.

>>NBA Monitoring Florida Coronavirus Spike

(Undated)  —  The NBA is monitoring the rising coronavirus numbers in Florida as it aims to restart its season late next month.  A league spokesman tells ESPN they will continue to consult the players, public health officials and medical experts in Orlando.  Most teams are set to arrive in early July and start playing July 30th.

>>MLB Player Vote On Latest Season Proposal Delayed

(Undated)  —  A vote by the players on Major League Baseball’s latest season proposal is still waiting to happen.  ESPN reports the union decided to delay the vote on MLB’s 60-game plan after commissioner Rob Manfred made some late tweaks.  They are also collecting coronavirus testing data after more outbreaks.

>>NHL Says Nearly A Dozen Players Are Positive Since Facilities Reopened

(New York, NY)  —  Nearly a dozen NHL players are self-isolating after testing positive for COVID-19.  The league announced late Friday that 11 of 200 players tested since team facilities reopened June 8th are positive.  The NHL is still targeting July 10th to start training camps, with games in late July or early August.

>>Prescott To Sign Tender With Cowboys Today

(Frisco, TX)  —  The Cowboys are expected to have quarterback Dak Prescott in the fold today.  ESPN reports he will sign his exclusive franchise tender worth 31.4-million-dollars.  It will obligate Prescott to report to camp on time.  The two sides will still have until July 15th to work out a long-term contract.
