(Undated) — Major League Baseball remains at a stalemate with its players. The Athletic reports the league has rejected a 114-game proposal from the union and does not intend to counter. The regular season would end on October 31st under that plan and MLB says it does not want to extend into November.

(New York, NY) — Major League Baseball is the last of the major pro leagues to make a statement on the death of George Floyd. MLB tweeted, “we want to be better, we need to be better, and this is our promise to do the work. Mets pitcher Marcus Stroman tweeted “Took long enough…Black Lives Matter!”

(Undated) — Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is putting his money where his mouth is in an effort to quell racism. He posted on Instagram that he is disgusted and unsettled by George Floyd’s death, but is pledging one-million-dollars to improve police training and address systemic racism through education.

(Undated) — Saints quarterback Drew Brees is drawing backlash after telling Yahoo Sports that kneeling during the anthem is disrespectful to the flag. LeBron James tweeted that Brees still doesn’t get it. Saints safety Malcolm Jenkins posted a video saying Brees is part of the problem and should shut up.

(Undated) — Broncos head coach Vic Fangio is clarifying his remark about racism not being a big issue in the NFL. He apologized yesterday, saying he was wrong and should have been more clear. Fangio says his point was there is no color inside the locker room, but clearly that’s not the only world they live in.
