CHBC Falls to Neoga


The Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats couldn’t keep up with Neoga’s offense on Thursday, falling to the Indians 11-2 on Thursday. After a scoreless first inning, the Indians would get on the board in the top of the second inning, scoring four runs to take a 4-0 lead. Neoga would tack on two more runs in the top of the third inning, and two more in the fifth, making their lead 8-2. The Bobcats would begin to chip away at the deficit in the bottom of the fifth inning, when Ben Askins singled to score Clive Schlanser and Kale Hardimon to make the score 8-2. After a scoreless sixth inning, Neoga would tack on three insurance runs in the top of the seventh, and CHBC would be shut out in the bottom half, falling to the Indians 11-2. The loss drops the Bobcats to 2-6 on the season. CHBC will be back at home on Monday to take on Ramsey-Mulberry Grove.
