The Altamont Indians used a big 14-run third inning to come away with a 20-2 win over the Brownstown/St. Elmo Bombers on Tuesday afternoon. The Indians got on the board first in the top of the first inning when Kade Milleville doubled, and later came around to score on a wild pitch to take a 1-0 lead. That lead would hold until the top of the third inning when Altamont erupted for 14-runs, highlighted by a 2 RBI single from Brayden Elam, an RBI double from Kaiden Wolff, and RBI singles from Milleville and Cooper McManaway, to take a 15-0 lead. The Indians would add on 5 runs in the top of the fifth inning, before BSE would get on the board with Logan Lach reaching on an error to score Jayce Gilliespie, and a Keelan Speagle single to score Lach, but the deficit would be too much to overcome for the Bombers, falling to Altamont 20-2. The win improves the Indians to 4-4 on the season. Altamont will be on the road on Thursday to take on Vandalia. BSE falls to 2-4 on the season. The Bombers will be back home on Thursday to take on Pana.
