St. Elmo Grad Kairi Speagle and McKendree Cheer Headed to NCA Nationals This Week

St. Elmo High School grad and former SEB Cheerleader Kairi Speagle is set to hit the national cheerleading stage for the second year as she and her McKendree University Bearcats Cheerleading team compete in the NCA College Nationals this weekend in Daytona Beach, Florida. Speagle, the 2025 Rookie of the Year for the Bearcats, will compete with McKendree’s entry in the Advanced Large Coed Division II. This will be the second year that the sophomore has competed nationally with the Bearcats after they picked up a 4^th place finish at last year’s Nationals. The Bearcats are set to compete at the historic Daytona Beach Bandshell with preliminary competition for their division on Thursday and expected to run from 10:00am to 3:00pm and Finals competition at 8:00am on Friday before the Awards presentation is held at 2:00pm on Friday afternoon.
