Vandals Go 1-1 in Saturday Round Robin

The Vandalia Vandals went 1-1 in their Saturday round robin at I70Media field, knocking off the South Central Cougars 10-0, before falling to the Breese Mater Dei Knights 9-0. In the first game, the Vandals scored at least one run in every inning, jumping out to a 5-0 first-inning lead, then added three in the second, and one in the third and fourth to defeat the Cougars 10-0. Vandalia would struggle to start the second game against Mater Dei, falling behind 6-0 after the first inning, and allowed one in the second, and two in the fourth, falling to the Knights 9-0. The Vandals move to 4-2 on the season. Vandalia will be on the road at Dieterich today.
