Brownstown-St. Elmo had no answer for a 15-run first inning by North Clay as the Bombers fell to the Cardinals 22-3 at home on Tuesday. BSE trailed 18-0 to start the bottom of the second inning after North Clay’s early offensive outburst but put on run across the plate to cut it to 18-1. North Clay added on two runs in the top of the third inning and BSE answered with two of their own in the bottom of the third but continued to trail 20-3. Two runs in the fourth inning pushed the Bombers deficit to 22-3 which would be the final score as BSE was held scoreless in the bottom of the fourth. The Bombers are now 2-1 on the season and go on the road this Friday to take on Okaw Valley.
