The South Central Lady Cougars got on the board early and never looked back, coming away with a 20-0 win over the Mulberry Grove Lady Aces on Monday afternoon. The Lady Cougars wasted no time getting on the board in the top of the first inning, with Perci Reird, Kinlee Thompson, Emmi Ruholl, and Baylee Brown all collecting RBI hits to take a 6-0 lead. After a scoreless bottom of the first inning, South Central would break the game open with an 11-run frame to take a 17-0 lead. The Lady Cougars would add on three runs in the top of the third inning, highlighted by a solo home run from Maddie Peddicord. The Lady Aces were held to just two base runners, with Lola Johnson reaching on an error, and Claire Mollett reaching on a single. The win improves the Lady Cougars to 2-0 on the season. South Central will be back at home on Wednesday to take on Cisne. The loss drops Mulberry Grove to 0-2 on the season. The Lady Aces will be off until Thursday when they go on the road to take on Hillsboro.
