Ramsey’s eighth grade volleyball team will try to earn a spot in the IESA 8-1A State Tournament when they compete in the Jerseyville St. Francis Sectional Championship match tonight. The Lady Rams picked up 25-14, 25-19 win over Mulberry Grove in the semifinals and a 25-5, 25-13 win over Godfrey Evangelical in the title match to win the Mulberry Grove Regional Championship last week and advance to tonight’s Sectional. They will face Carrollton St. John at 6:00pm tonight at the Father William Hembrow Center at Jerseyville St. Francis. The winner will advance on to the 81-A State Tournament this Friday at Wenona Fieldcrest to take on the winner of the Hartsburg-Emden Sectional Championship game between Cornell and Hartsburg-Emden.
