Altamont Track Nets Four Top 10 Finishes at Central Illinois High Performance Meet

Altamont boys and girls track competed in the Central Illinois High Performance Meet on Saturday hosted by High Performance LLC at Illinois College and brought home four top 10 finishes. On the boys side of the meet, senior Jacob Veteto brought home a second place finish in the Pole Vault with a height of 14’ 3.25” as one miss on an attempt separated he and first place to break the tie at the top and the 4×800 relay team of Hayden Bridges, Juan Fulk, Wyatt Wolff and Kelton Dunaway grabbed a fifth place finish with a time of 9:42.92. On the girls side of the meet, freshman Baileigh Starnes finished in fourth place in the 400m Dash with a time of 1:04.66 and sophomore Keely Fleeharty placed eighth in the High Jump with a height of 4’ 6”. The Indians will have several athletes back in action on Wednesday as they compete in the Tuscola Throws Only meet.
