Vandalia wrestling got out to a quick start with four straight pins at the first five weights wrestled and used the early momentum to run away from Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley for a 54-21 win in the Semifinals of the IHSA 1A Dual team State Finals. With the win, the Vandals advance to the State Championship match at 6:00pm Saturday evening where they will face Coal City in a rematch of last year’s title match. The Vandals will look to avenge their 32-35 loss in that match to the Coalers.
