BSE Faces Edwards County Tonight in Sectional Championship Game, Broadcast on WKRV

Brownstown-St. Elmo girls basketball will look to keep their history making season rolling tonight as they are set to square off with Edwards County in the Championship game of the Wayne City 1A Sectional. The Lady Bombers are 30-3 on the season and make an appearance in a Sectional Championship game for the first time after beating Christopher 46-25 in their Sectional Semifinal game on Tuesday night. Edwards County is 28-5 on the season after beating Sesser-Valier in their semifinal game on Tuesday, 62-41. The teams have five common opponents from the season, with BSE beating Cumberland in two of their three meetings (36-33 and 71-41) with a 44-33 loss in the other matchup in the NTC Tournament Championship game and the Lions beating Cumberland 50-37 in their only meeting. Edwards County played Webber twice, beating them 77-31 and 57-26 while BSE beat Webber 62-30 in their only meeting of the season. They also each played North Clay, OPH and Marshall once with BSE and Edwards County each going 3-0 against those teams.
