BSE Girls Will Attempt to Make Program History In Sectional Semifinal Tonight, Broadcast on WKRV

The Brownstown-St. Elmo girls basketball team will attempt to make program history in two different ways tonight as they compete in the semifinals of the Wayne City 1A Sectional. The Lady Bombers will take on the Christopher Lady Bearcats in the first semifinal game. BSE heads into the game at 29-3 and will be looking to become the first BSE girls team ever to reach the 30-win mark for a season. They take on a Christopher team that is 16-16 on the season and is on a three game win streak after a period where they lost seven of eight games to end the regular season. A win over the Lady Bearcats would also mark the first ever Sectional Semifinal win for BSE as they suffered a close 52-51 loss to Tri-County in the Casey-Westfield Sectional Semifinals in 2020 and lost last year to Calhoun, 37-35, in the Lincolnwood Sectional Semifinal. The Lady Bombers and Lady Bearcats will tip off at 6:00pm from Wayne City High School and we will have the live broadcast on 107.1 FM WKRV and available streaming at www.vandaliaradio.com and on the Vandalia Radio app.
