Vandalia’s Kleinik Takes Sixth Place at 150lbs at IHSA 1A Individual Wrestling State Finals

Vandalia’s Dade Kleinik has finished in sixth place in the 150lb weight class at the IHSA 1A Individual Wrestling State Finals. Kleinik suffered a loss by Tech Fall, 16-0 in 5:04, to Logan Riggs of Roxana in the Fifth Place Match. Kleinik went 2-3 in the tournament getting a pair of wins by Fall in the Preliminary and Quarterfinal Rounds before suffering a Championship Semifinal loss to Cooper Corder of Sandwich to go into the Wrestlebacks. Kleinik lost to Preston Richards of Dixon by Major Decision in the Wrestleback Semifinals to drop into the Fifth Place match where he lost to Riggs. This was the first trip to the State Finals for Kleinik as he takes sixth in his first finals appearance.
