St. Elmo-Brownstown grabbed an early lead and pushed the game out of reach by halftime as they grabbed a 74-41 win over Ramsey in Egyptian Illini Conference action on Tuesday night. A 25-10 run by the Eagles in the first quarter had them out to a big lead over the Rams and a 26-4 run through the second quarter pushed the lead to 51-14 at halftime. Ramsey battled back after the halftime break and put up their highest point tally in the third, outscoring SEB 24-19 but still trailed 70-38. The Eagles and Rams combined for just seven points in the fourth quarter with SEB having a slight 4-3 edge to closeout the 74-41 win. SEB improves to 15-13 on the season and to 4-0 in the EIC. The Eagles will play their final EIC game and final regular season game this Friday at CHBC. Ramsey drops to 1-25 on the season and to 0-5 in the EIC. They will be home on Friday to face Mulberry Grove in their regular season finale.
