The Vandalia Vandals used a big 25-point fourth quarter to come away with a 68-46 win over the Patoka/Odin Warriors on Thursday night. The Vandals jumped out to a 13-2 lead midway through the first quarter, but the Warriors would go on a 7-6 run to cut the deficit to 18-9 at the end of the first quarter. Patoka/Odin would go on a 16-10 run in the second quarter, but the Vandals would still enter halftime with a slim 28-25 lead. The two teams would trade baskets in the third quarter, but the Vandals would begin to pull away late, with Lucas Bowers making a layup at the buzzer to put Vandalia up 43-32 entering the fourth. The fourth quarter would be all Vandalia as they would go on a 25-14 run to pull away with the 68-46 win. The win improves the Vandals to 16-13 on the season. Vandalia will be on the road Tuesday for an SCC matchup with Hillsboro.
