St. Elmo-Brownstown grabbed an early lead and held it as they pulled away from Sandoval for a 58-37 win on Tuesday night. The Eagles outscored the Blackhawks 18-8 in the first quarter for a 10 point lead and they allowed just three points to Sandoval in the second quarter to build up a 34-11 by halftime. The Blackhawks fought back in the third quarter, outscoring SEB 18-9 but the Eagles remained ahead 43-29 to start the fourth quarter. A 15-8 fourth quarter run sealed the 58-37 win for SEB as they improve to 14-12 on the season. They will have a short road trip on Friday as they jump back into National Trail Conference action, taking on Altamont.
