Brownstown-St. Elmo struggled to keep up with Paris offensively in the second and third quarters as the Lady Bombers suffered a 71-42 loss to the Tigers on Tuesday night. A balanced scoring attack in the first quarter had BSE right with Paris as they trailed by just a couple of points, 15-13, by the end of the quarter. The Bombers were held to six points in the second quarter but trailed by just ten points as the Tigers led BSE 29-19 at halftime. The Bombers were outscored 24-7 in the third quarter to fall behind 53-26 to end the quarter. Despite a close battle in the fourth quarter, BSE was outscored 18-16 in the quarter and were handed the 71-42 loss. BSE drops to 26-3 on the season and will wrap up regular season play tonight as they go on the road to face Windsor/Stew-Stras at Stew-Stras High School. The game that will also wrap up National Trail Conference play for the Bombers and a win would give them the outright NTC regular season title while a loss would drop them into at least a two-way tie.
