Our Pro Wire Athlete of the Week for the week of February 7 is BSE girls basketball guard Dayana Haslett.
Haslett, a junior for the Lady Bombers, became the all-time leading scorer in BSE girls basketball program history, surpassing 2020 graduate Claire (Wilhour) Warchol at the top of the list. With 4:46 left to go in the second quarter of the Bombers win over South Central on Tuesday, Haslett pulled up and hit a three-pointer from the right of top of the key for her 1,839th point to pass Wilhour’s record of 1,838. Haslett finished the game with 21 points and then added on another 27 points to her career total as she lead the Lady Bombers in scoring on Thursday night in a hard fought win at St. Anthony and she now stands at 1,872 total career points.
