Our Pro Wire Athletes of the Week for the week of January 31 is the Vandalia Jr. High Seventh Grade Boys Basketball Team.
The 7th Grade Jr. Vandals picked up a 56-47 win over East St. Louis Lincoln on Wednesday to capture the Litchfield 7-3A Sectional Championship. The win earned the Vandals a trip to the IESA 7-3A State Tournament, their first trip to the seventh grade tournament since 2016 when the Vandals took 4th place that year. The Vandals will take on Lisle in their quarterfinal matchup at 1:00pm today at El Paso-Gridley High School.
