VJHS 7th Grade Boys Basketball Competes for Sectional Title Tonight

After a two day delay due to the weather, the Vandalia Jr. High 7^th grade boys basketball team will compete for a Sectional title tonight as they attempt to punch their ticket to the 7-3A State Tournament. The 20-4 Vandals will play in the Litchfield Sectional Championship game against East St. Louis Lincoln at 6:00pm at Litchfield Middle School. The Vandals won the Sullivan Regional by beating the host school 43-34 while Lincoln was a 40-29 winner over Staunton in the Auburn Regional Championship game. The winner of tonight’s game will move on to the IESA 7-3A State Tournament this Saturday at El Paso Gridley High School. Tonight’s winner will play the winner of the Wheaton Christian Sectional Championship game between South Holland McKinely and Lisle.
