Vandalia senior guard Ollie Whitehead was named to the Vandalia Mid-Winter Tournament’s All-Tournament Team on Friday night after the completion of the Championship game that was moved to Friday night along with the Third Place game due to forecasted weather on Saturday. Ater the game, the five members of the All-Tournament team were recognized with Effingham’s Averie Wolfe named the tournament’s MVP. Whitehead and the Lady Vandals are still set to play their Fifth Place game against Mattoon at 11:30am this morning. Despite the Lady Vandals only playing two of their games so far, Whitehead has put up big numbers this week with a total of 41 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals through those two games including scoring her 1,000th career point in Monday’s game against Salem.
