After a close first half, Altamont used a big third quarter run to pull away a bit and then held off a Central A&M run in the fourth quarter to secure a 57-46 win at home on Tuesday. The Indians hit just two shots from the field in the first quarter but went five of six from the free throw line and stayed close with the Raiders, trailing 12-10 at the end of the quarter. A 14-9 second quarter run, led by nine points from Kade Milleville, put the Indians up by three, 24-21 at the half. The Altamont offense really got moving in the third quarter though as they would hold the Raiders to nine points again while tossing 24 points on the board, eight of them from Zaine Miller, seven from Cooper McManaway and five from Cooper Pals, as the Indians lead would grow to 48-30 to start the fourth quarter. Central A&M was able to flip the momentum in the fourth quarter though and went on their own run, 16-9, but Altamont was able to hold them at bay to finish off the game with a 57-46 win. Altamont improves to 10-7 on the season and they will get back into conference play on Friday when they go on the road to face North Clay.
