Vandalia’s Depew Ranked #5 in 1A Pre-Season 60/100m and 200m Dash Rankings

With the track competition season allowed to get underway with indoor meets at the beginning of February, many outlets are beginning to release their preseason rankings for the 2026 season. Illinois Running News released its sprint event rankings for all three classes last week and Vandalia senior Kohnor Depew has earned two top 5 rankings. In the Class 1A 60m/100m Dash ranking, Depew is at #5 after finishing 8^th place at last year’s IHSA 1A State Finals and he is ranked #5 in the 200m Dash rankings after placing 6^th at the State Finals. Depew is coming off a junior season, just his first high school track season, in which he broke the 100m and 200m Dash school records and was part of the school record breaking 4×100 and 4×200 relay teams.
