Our Pro Wire Athletes of the Week for the week of January 11 are Altamont senior Kade Milleville and South Central senior Hudson Moore.
A senior guard for Altamont, Milleville reached a big career milestone on Friday night as he surpassed the 1,000 career point mark in the Indians conference loss at Dieterich. With just under two minutes to go in the first half, Milleville put up an off balance shot over two defenders to score his 1,000th and 1,001st points of his career. Milleville ended the night with 15 points to sit at 1,011 career points. He then added on another 11 points in the Indians big upset win over 1A top-ranked Woodlawn on Saturday night as he now stands at 1,022 career points.
A senior guard for South Central, Moore had a breakout game for the Cougars on Friday night as they returned from an extended post-holiday break. Moore had a career best 31 points in the 68-63 win over Cisne and teamed up with teammate Westin Neilson to combine for 56 of the team’s 68 points in the win.
