St. Elmo-Brownstown was held to single digit scoring in all but one quarter and couldn’t slow down the Windsor/Stew-Stras offense early in a 53-32 loss in National Trail Conference action on Friday night. SEB fell behind 21-8 at the end of the first quarter and trailed 35-15 at halftime. After being outscored 10-5 in the third quarter, the Eagles deficit grew to 45-20. They would bounce back in the fourth quarte and outscore the Hatchets with a 12-8 run, but it was too little too late as SEB suffered the 53-32 loss. The Eagles drop to .500 on the season at 8-8 and they are 1-3 in the NTC. They have another tough NTC matchup on Tuesday as they will be hosting Cumberland.
