Vandalia football held its Awards Night over the weekend at VCHS. Season honors were announced as All-Conference honorees were recognized including Bryce Hartlieb, Jordan Colburn, Kohnor Depew, Brenton McCarty, Isaac Forbes, Sam Bowers, Cole Durbin, Dillon Hinton, Qwentyn Stombaugh, Andrew Casey, Cole Yarbrough and Dominic Swyers. Four athletes were recognized as Academic All-State team members for being named First Team All-Conference while also carrying a GPA of 3.5 or higher and those honorees are Qwentyn Stombaugh, Sam Bowers, Dillon Hinton and Isaac Forbes. Individual awards were presented during the evening as Kohnor Depew was named Most Outstanding for Offense and Bryce Hartlieb was named Most Outstanding for Defense. Caden Osborne was named Most Improved Player and the Hayner Award was presented to Dillon Hinton. The Vandals went 11-1 this past season, making it to the third round of the IHSA 3A State Playoffs.
