Jones Finishes 27th at US Amateur Bowling Championships, Bowls a Perfect 300 in Round 3

Vandalia senior Macy Jones wrapped up competition at the U.S. Amateur Championships at the Gold Coast Bowling Center on Wednesday, finishing in 27^th place out of 121 bowlers from around the country. Her finish also put her at 37^th in the overall women’s standings in the Team USA Trials. Jones finished the five round tournament with a pin total of 6048. Jones’ best game in the tournament came on Monday as she bowled a perfect 300 for Game 4 of Round 3 of the tournament. Jones who is a multiple time Elite Youth Tour Champion and was on the 2025 Jr. Team USA will head to Vanderbilt University this fall after her graduation from VCHS where she will join former Vandalia grad and Vanderbilt Associate Head Coach Josie Earnest Barnes on the Commodores Women’s Bowling team.
