St. Elmo-Brownstown got off to a slow start and couldn’t recover as they suffered a 66-48 loss to Oblong-Palestine-Hutsonville on the road on Tuesday night. The Eagles were held to just four first quarter points, trailing 25-4 at the end of the first. They would pick things up offensively in the second quarter but were still just outscored 14-13 to continue to trail 39-17 at halftime. SEB was able to gain some momentum in the third quarter and outscored OPH 18-10 in the third quarter and cut their deficit down to 49-35 by the end of the third quarter. A 17-13 scoring advantage for OPH held SEB at bay in the forth quarter as the Eagles were handed the 66-48 loss. SEB drops to .500 in the season at 7-7. The Eagles have a quick turnaround as they get right back into action tonight, heading back out on the road to take on Okaw Valley.
