The Vandalia Vandals saw their three-game win streak come to a close on Saturday, falling to the Caryle Indians 68-61. Both teams got out to a slow start, but a late offensive push for the Indians led to them taking a 15-6 lead. The Vandals would get their offense in gear in the second quarter, going on a 19-12 run to enter halftime down 27-25. Both teams would trade baskets in the third quarter, but Carlyle once again found themselves with the advantage, going into the fourth quarter with a 48-43 lead. Vandalia would struggle with fouls and turnovers, and Carlyle would take advantage to come away with the 68-61 victory. The loss drops the Vandals to 4-3 on the season. Vandalia will be on the road on Tuesday to take on Auburn.
