The St. Elmo/Brownstown Eagles got out to an early lead and never looked back, coming away with a 54-21 victory over NTC foe South Central Cougars in the third place game of the Mulberry Grove Thanksgiving Tournament. SEB got out to a hot start, going on a 10-0 run in the first 4 minuets of the game. The Cougars would end the quarter going on a 6-3 run, to end the first quarter trailing 13-6. The Eagles would have a strong second quarter, going on a 17-8 run, to extend their lead to 30-14 at halftime. SEB would outscore South Central 24-7 in the second half, to come away with the 54-21 win. With the win, SEB improves to 3-1 on the season. The Eagles will have their home opener on Tuesday when they take on Webber. South Central falls to 2-2 on the season. The Cougars will have their home opener on Tuesday to take on Ramsey.
