Altamont boys basketball had a bit of travel for their season opener on Tuesday but made the trip worthwhile with a 60-33 win at Decatur St. Teresa. The Indians had five different players score in the first quarter as they took a 19-11 lead over the Bulldogs after eight minutes of play. Their eight point lead became a 12 point lead by halftime after Altamont outscored St. Teresa 11-7 in the second for a 30-18 halftime lead. A 16-7 run through the third quarter opened up the Indians lead further as they took a 46-25 advantage to the fourth quarter where a 14-8 run capped off the 60-33 season opening win. Altamont had three players finish in double digit scoring as Kade Milleville led the way with 15 points and both Zaine Miller and Cooper McManaway finished with 12 points. The Indians will be off for a week now before they head on the road again on December 2 for their first National Trail Conference matchup of the season at Cumberland.
