Vandalia Football Finishes Regular Season at #9 in AP Poll


After spending most of the season not receiving much love from Associated Press voters, Vandalia football broke through after Week 8 to sit at #10 in the poll and moved up one more spot after Week 9 to finish the regular season at #9 in the final AP poll of the season. The Vandals received 23 votes this week, up from jus 12 votes last week as they leapfrogged Chicago Hope Academy (8-1) to move up the one spot. The Vandals now prepare for the postseason as they take their #2 seed up against #15 seed Christopher-Zeigler-Royalton (5-4) in the first round of the playoffs this Saturday at home at 2:00pm. The winner moves into the second round to take on the winner of the matchup between #7 Stanford Olympia and #10 Greenville.
