The Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Lady Bobcats advanced to the Semifinals of the St. Elmo Regionals with a two-set 25-16, 25-16 win over the Altamont Lady Indians on Tuesday night. The Lady Indians would come out strong in the first set, jumping out to an early 9-5 lead. CHBC would storm back though taking a 14-12 lead. The Lady Bobcats would go on an 11-4 run to come away with the 25-16 set win. CHBC would keep their foot on the gas, jumping out to a 8-1 lead, before Altamont would go on a 9-6 run to cut the deficit to 15-10. CHBC would proceed ot outscore the Lady Indians 10-6 to come away with the 25-16 set and match win. CHBC improves to 12-21 on the season. They will take on a familiar opponent on Wednesday in the semifinals with the St. Elmo/Brownstown Lady Eagles. Altamont ends their season with a record of 13-18-2.
