Vandalia Wrestling Fills Out Coaching Staff

The Vandalia wrestling program is filling its staff out the for the coming season after personnel moves made at the monthly Vandalia School Board meeting held last week. Patrick Myers, the previous assistant coach, was hired as the Vandals new Head Coach after last season to replace Jason Clay who stepped aside as he will be moving into the Principal position at Vandalia High School beginning next school year. Last week, the school board approved the hiring of VCHS Assistant Principal Michael Mabry to be the VCHS Assistant Coach. Mabry previously served as the VJHS Head Wrestling Coach before moving to the high school administration position last year. The school board also approved the transfer of Stuart Hinton from VJHS Head Wrestling Coach to VCHS Volunteer Assistant Wrestling Coach. With the move of Hinton to only high school wrestling, the school board approved the hiring of Matthew Hobler as the new VJHS Head Wrestling Coach.
