Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City punched its ticket to the Championship game of the Egyptian Illini Conference Volleyball Tournament with two wins on Tuesday night while Ramsey splits it pool play matches to earn a spot in the Third Place match. In the evening’s first match, Ramsey came back from a set down to beat Patoka/Odin 20-25, 25-15, 28-26. CHBC then got their matchup up with the Warriors and after a first set win, they had to come back from a second set loss to win the third set in a big way to take the 25-19, 17-25, 25-9 win. In the final match pf the night, CHBC and Ramsey squared off with a trip to the Championship on the line. The Rams would get the first set win, but the Bobcats came back to win the next two sets and get the 11-25, 25-18, 25-17 win. CHBC will get a rematch with St. Elmo-Brownstown as the two team meet on the final night of the tournament for the fourth straight year, playing in the Championship game on Thursday at 7:30pm while Ramsey will go to the Third Place match to face Martinsville at 6:30pm and Mulberry Grove takes on Patoka/Odin at 5:30pm in the Fifth Place match on Thursday.
