St. Elmo-Brownstown defeated Mulberry Grove in two sets 25-17, 25-20 on Thursday night in each team’s final Egyptian Illini Conference regular season match. The win put SEB at 5-0 to wrap up conference play as the regular season champion and the loss put Mulberry Grove in the middle of the conference pack at 2-3 in EIC play. The Lady Eagles move to 14-9 on the season overall and will be on the road again on Tuesday as they will wrap play in their other conference, the National Trail Conference, on Tuesday at Cumberland. The Lady Aces move to 9-11 on the season and they will play two games next week, going on the road Tuesday to take on Bunker Hill and then having their final home match of the season on Thursday against Nokomis.
