Several I70Sports area junior high and high school Trap Shooters competed at the Lake Land College 3rd Annual Fall Classic held this past weekend at the Effingham Sportsmans Club. Beecher City, Dieterich and St. Elmo/Brownstown were well represented in the field of 49 competitors.
Beecher City
Beecher City Clay Busting Bobcats led the way in the team division taking home the first place team award with a score of 442 out of 500. The winning squad consisted of Raylee Martin, Ely Hoene, Gage Hart, Hallie Stoldt, and Kendrick Stoldt. Beecher City outscored second place Lincoln Pheasants Forever Young Guns (Mattoon/Charleston Team) with 433 and third place Sullivan High School with 426.
For the individual awards, the Bobcats brought home even more hardware with Raylee Martin Winning Champion Overall and Top Female Overall, Gage Hart won Top Overall Male after a shoot-off for the spot going an additional three rounds into the shoot off to break the tie, and Ely Hoene took home Top 8th Grader at the event.
St. Elmo Brownstown:
St. Elmo Brownstown had 2 athletes compete at the event Lucy and Levi Montgomery. Levi Montgomery took home the Top 6th Grader award at the event.
Dieterich:
Dieterich also had 2 athletes take action Hank Sipes and Levi Flach. Hank Sipes took home the Top Senior award at the event.
