After a slow start to the game, Altamont soccer got things moving and ran away to a 5-0 win over the St. Anthony Bulldogs in Effingham on Saturday morning. It took 25 minutes for one of the teams to get on the board with Calvin Bannister putting the Indians up 1-0. Early in the second half, Cooper Pals would double the Indians lead to 2-0 on a pass from Aiden Rosales. Not too much later, Pals found Kaleb Overton who was able to score Altamont’s third goal of the day for a 3-0 lead. Hayden Bridges knocked in another one for the Indians while Pals added his second of the day for a 5-0 lead and eventual win. Adom Wolff and Andrew Ellersick combined for the shut out in goal. Altamont us now 8-10 on the season and the Indians will be back at home for a Tuesday game with Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond which will also serve as Senior Night.
