The Vandalia Lady Vandals struggled to find momentum on Thursday night, falling in two sets to the Staunton Lady Bulldogs 17-25, 17-25. The two teams would trade points in the first set, with the Lady Bulldogs finding themselves up 15-13, before going on a 7-2 run to extend their lead to 22-15. The Lady Vandsals would try and chip away at the deficit, but could only muster up two total points, falling in the first set 25-17. Staunton would jump out to a 8-2 lead in the second set, and would extend that lead to 16-10. The Lady Vandals would attempt to chip away at the deficit, but couldn’t swing the momentum falling 25-17. The loss drops the Lady Vandals to 2-20-1 on the season, and 0-4 in SCC play. Vandalia will be on the road Monday to take on Altamont.
