Season Ends for Area Girls Golfers at IHSA 1A Sandoval Regional

The 2025 season came to a close for the area’s girls golfers on Tuesday after postseason play began at the IHSA 1A Regional hosted by Sandoval at Colonial Golf Course. Ramsey and Vandalia came in eighth and tenth in the team standings with only the top three teams advancing on to the Sectional. On the Individual Leaderboard, both Ramsey senior Annabelle Click and freshman Anna Benhoff came up just short of the cut to make Sectionals which would be 91 for the day with Click shooting a 96 and Benhoff a 97. Dakira Brown of Vandalia came up 13 strokes shy of the cut with a 104 while Altamont’s Cecilia Pearcy shot a 109. With only the top 10 individuals from a non-advancing team going to the Sectional, no area girls will advance on this year.
