The South Central Cougars got on the board first, but couldn’t hang on to the lead, as they would fall to the Windsor/Stew-Strass Hatchets 2-1 in ten innings on Monday. The Cougars got on the board in the bottom of the second inning when Isaac Guerrattaz led off with a walk and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt. A passed ball would allow Guerrattaz to score, giving South Central a 1-0 lead. That score would hold until the top of the sixth inning when WSS tied the game on an RBI Double. The game would remain tied until the top of the fifth inning, when once again a double would give the Hatchets a lead, and South Central would be set down in order, falling to WSS 2-1 in ten innings. South Central falls to 6-12 on the season. They will be back at home on Tuesday for their final NTC matchup against North Clay.
