Altamont picked up its third straight National Trail Conference win as the Lady Indians edged out the CHBC Lady Bobcats in two sets 25-17, 25-29 at Cowden on Tuesday night. The small margin of victory for Altamont was bigger than the it appears as they two teams battled close in each of the two sets with the Lady Indians pulling away from the Lady Bobcats late in each set. With the win, Altamont moves to 3-2 in NTC play having won their last three conference matchups after an 0-2 start to conference play. They are 6-7-1 overall on the season and they will be on the road again on Thursday as they travel to Mattoon to take on St. John’s Lutheran. CHBC drops to 2-3 in the NTC and to 4-14 overall. The Bobcats will look to bounce back on Thursday when they switch gears and host Mulberry Grove in an Egyptian Illini Conference match.
