South Central Middle School Hosts Welcome Home Ceremony for State Champion Softball Team

Three days after claiming their first-ever IESA Softball State Championship, the South Central Lady Falcons were welcomed home with a firetruck parade through St. Peter, Farina, Kinmundy, and Alma, followed by a reception held at the Middle School. Head Coach Alex Phillips said when he thinks back to everything his team accomplished last weekend, he knows it was a total team effort.

Phillips also mentioned that the support they got from the community was second to none.

The Lady Falcons’ record-setting season concluded with a team record of 21-4, including setting the record for the most runs scored in a State Tournament game in their 18-8 victory over Pontiac St. Marys in the Quarterfinals last Friday.
