Brownstown-St. Elmo baseball was held scoreless until the sixth inning and fell on the road at North Clay, 7-1, on Friday. Two runs in the second inning put North Clay up 2-0 and lead grew to 4-0 in the fifth inning. The Bombers scored their one and only run in the top of the sixth inning on an RBI from Nolan Wilhour to cut the Cardinals lead to 4-1. North Clay would put three more runs across the plate in the bottom half of the inning to extend the lead back out to 7-1. BSE was unable to get anything going in the top of the seventh as they would take the 7-1 loss. The Bombers are now 4-10 on the season and 2-6 in the National Trail Conference. BSE will play in the MTC/EIC Tourney next week and will have to wait until the first games on Monday to find out their opponent for their game on Tuesday.
